Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are the signature injuries of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, perhaps because of the intensity of combat. Research is ongoing at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, which is spending considerable effort on TBI and PTSD research and their treatment.
