Overview: NY Yankee great and 5-Time World Series Champion Paul O’Neill conducted a satellite media tour with outlets nationwide about his once in a lifetime baseball master class and homerun hitting contest (with a twist). The SMT was conducted from a centrally located midtown Manhattan studio.
Thanks to the partnership between Major League Baseball and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, Bonvoy members redeemed points for the opportunity to learn baseball tips and bat against the Yankee legend. The master class culminated with the top five batters challenging O’Neill in a homerun hitting contest. But, the famous slugger faced a humorous twist – he used a wiffle ball and bat to even out the contest.
